Viral Videos

There are underlying reasons as to why film trailers get so many views so quickly on Youtube. Certain companies like YTM help "seed" certain videos across the internet through various ways of advertising.

I didn't know that:
  • YTM charges 10 to 15 cents per view.
  • YTM is connected to about 5000 highly-trafficked websites.
  • YTM can target a specific adudience, much to your own desires, to advertise a video.
I thought this article was interesting. I like that I FINALLY understand why some videos become so trendy so quickly. I also think that it's interesting to know that YTM will do the math, literally, to see how many views a certain video can.

My one question is why does YTM charge so much per view?

Gollum

Ok, so I figured that Gollum from The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings was a computer animation. NO GUY CAN LOOK THAT CREEPY AND GROSS.

I didn't know that:
  • Gollum was created by motion capture animation.
  • Andy Serkis inspired rewrites that made Gollum's character more in-depth.
  • Motion capture is widely popular in modern films like Avatar and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
I thought this article was really fascinating. I like the fact that since The Hobbit takes place before Lord of the Rings, the creators are making Gollum look younger and "more human". I also like how the actor for Gollum did the motions as well!

My one question is how long does it take to get that much detail into motion captured animation?

December 16th, 2012

This week wasn't bad! We mostly worked this week so I'm content with how far I'm getting on my rotoscoping. c:

UGH. What frustrated me this week was probably my friends continuously saying, "THE WORLD ENDS IN A FEW DAYS OMG." LOLshutup
I'm sorry, but I don't understand why people believe these things. :I
I am NOT superstitious at all. NOBODY KNOWS WHEN THE WORLD WILL END, SO HOW COULD THE MAYANS? Oy. -o-

On the other hand, what made me happy this week was how much progress I've made on my rotoscoping this week! I also got accepted into Villa Maria, but I'm probably going to Daemen. I've always wanted to go there ever since I was a freshman!

What we learned this week was how to upload camera shots onto Adobe Premier and how to extend the duration and repeat those shots.

I want to learn how to do 3d animation soon~~~
I know I've been saying that A LOT, but I'm excited for it~~

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ur2qgQlnPCw

I believe this might've been fanmade! o:
The graphics and animation are so realistic!
I love it!

Commencing Phase 2

There are rumors that future Avengers films will be bigger than their predecessor. Apparently, these sequels are supposed to have a major impact on future films!

I didn't know that:
  • Josh Whedon was one of the writers for Avengers.
  • Whedon and his colleagues are working on a show revolved around S.H.I.E.L.D.
  • Sony is willing to join forces with Marvel in the future.
I thought this article was interesting! I thought it was cool that the Avengers is truly going to eveolve in the future. I also think that it's great that great changes and improvements will come in the future of films.

My one question is will the Avengers become THE HIGHEST grossing franchise of all time in the future?

Peter Ramsey, Director Extraordinaire

This article talks about Pete Ramsey, the Director of "Rise of the Guardians", and his experiences with the film and what to expect from it!

I didn't know that:
  • Pete Ramsey storyboarded for previous films.
  • How to Train Your Dragon and Rise of the Guardians have changed the face in recent Dreamworks films.
  • Ramsey wanted to incorporate some live-action elements in Rise of the Guradians.
I really enjoyed this article! I thought it was quite interesting how Peter Ramsey was really influenced by his storyboarding abilities. I also thought it was really cool that Ramsey wasn't afraid to go nuts with certain scenes in Rise of the Guradians.

My one question is will Dreamworks continue to evolve?

December 8th!

Hey guys!
So this week was actually pretty good!! I started my rotoscoping project on Monday and I really love it! c:
So far, I really am enjoying the rotoscoping project! It's probably because I don't mind drawing frame-by-frame! Can't wait to see everyone's!

This week I learned.....
What did we learn this week? o______o
It was mostly a work week..
OH, I GOT IT.
This week I learned that stop-motion is VERY tedious. I'm working on mine right now, and OH GOSH I'M NERVOUS. I'm [sort of] having fun with it!

What made me happy this week was probably...
GETTING ACCEPTED INTO DAEMEN. OHHHHHH MAN.
That lifted SO much weight off of my shoulders! I also got a scholarship! c:

What frustrated me this week was probably swimming. I know it's not BOCES related, but nothing really frustrated me in Animation this week. Well, actually, not using a drawing tablet for my rotoscoping project was kind of tedious, but swimming frustrated me A LOT. I keep beating myself up over my fly stroke. :I
I really need to give myself a break. My coach says I'm doing fine, and yet I still put pressure on myself. OY.

I really want to learn about 3d animation. My friend says it was very tedious, but I'm excited, not going to lie!

I thought, since we're starting Stop Motion, this would be a cool link. Plus I like origami c:

Dat Twilight Zone

There has been some speculation about the Twilight series, concerning that the series ruins love-lives and marriages. Is this really true though? According to most people, it is.

I didn't know that:
  • Twilight was written for a teenage audience for the most part.
  • Somebody actually ALMOST lost their wife over the Twilight books.
  • Reading the Twilight series can actually improve a personal relationship between mothers and daughters.
I thought this article was somewhat outlandish. To think that people obsess over these books, and jeopardize their own marriages/relationships to find their own "Edward" leaves me in disbelief. I also think that it is nice, in a way, that women can "bond" over these books. Weird as it sounds, it is kind of nice.

My one question is when will people realize that romance novels/films are NOTHING like real life? I mean, seriously!

November 29, 2012~~

This week was really hectic in more ways than one. The first swim meet of the season was on Tuesday, and on top of that I had to worry about my 2d short, WHICH I FINALLY HANDED IN THANK GOODNESS.

This week we learned about stop motion and rotoscoping animations. I'm really excited to get started on the rotoscoping project. Stop motion? Kinda nervous about that xD I DO have an idea for it though!!

Anyway~~~
What made me happy this week was finishing my 2d short probably!!
I finally got that thing done ohmygoodness :'o

What frustrated me this week was probably finishing up my 2d short, considering there are some things I didn't get to in it. x.x
Oh well! We'll see what everybody thinks! Can't wait to see everyone's work! :D Everybody put a lot of time into their shorts!

I really want to learn how to do 3d animation, but I can't wait to work with stop motion and rotoscoping this week c:

I think this was made with Flash O:
The lip-syncing isn't bad! o:
I also thought this was hysterical xD
I love the quirkiness of it too!
AND IT'S SONIC OF COURSE <3
FROGGY.

Spongebob Stop Motion????!!

OH. MY. GOSH.
A Spongebob stop motion animation? Finally~~
It already aired on CBS, but won't air on Nickelodeon until sometime in December.

I didn't know that:
  • Work for this special started last October!
  • Many pounds of Baking soda, glitter, and other materials helped create the setting of Bikini Bottom.
  • The team had many struggles with this project and the team was made up of 30 members.
I thought this article was awesome! Stop-motion is one of my favorite types of animation to watch (Coraline for example), so I really love this article. Also, I thought this article was nostalgic in a way, considering Spongebob one of my favorite shows as a kid. Now, my two loves have had a beautiful, stop-motion, nostalgic baby <3 I can't wait to see this on NICKELODEON. AHEM.

My one question is how long did it take for the puppets to be made?

Sunglasses~~

There are these sunglasses that can help colorblind people see..well, colors A LOT BETTER! O: How awesome is that?!

I didn't know that:
  • These sunglasses could also help people who are NOT colorblind see colors better as well!
  • These things are so expensive! $600 at most!
  • They charge more for people who ARE colorblind that buy these glasses! how ridiculous!
I think this article was really awesome! I think it's great that people are trying to help colorblind people see colors better than they could. Although, I do think it's kind of ridiculous that this company is charging more for those who buy the glasses that are colorblind.

My one question is will there be certain circumstances that these glasses can work? (weather, season, etc.)

The Bay

There was an article about a director named Barry Levinson and how exactly he produced the horror film "The Bay." Quite interesting! This guy found footage from phones, webcams, and actors in order to create this movie!

I didn't know:
  • who Barry Levinson was...awk
  • he had actors also film themselves with cameras to create "footage."
  • Levinson was inspired by Chesapeake Bay's pollution to create this movie.
I thought this article was interesting to read. I think this is a very creative approach to a film like this. I also think that it's nice to see a change of layout in this film.

My one question is will the film be choppy if it is using various sources of footage?

November 17th Update!!

This week was pretty good actually!! We worked on our 2d Shorts this whole week and are due on Wednesday. Ojeez..

I learned that frame-by-frame takes A LOT of patience, but I think it'll be worth it in the end when it comes to my 2d short. I'm excited to finish it c:

What really made me happy this week was the fact that we WERE ABLE TO WORK UNTIL 7 PM ON OPEN HOUSE NIGHT YES. I got 2 daysworth of work done in one day! :D
I also was able to reunite with Enya!! I love her!!

What frustrated me this week was trying to balance swimming with Animation and school. I think I'm still trying to find a good balance here, but it'll take some time, BUT I SHAN'T GIVE UP.

I really want to learn how to make my animations less sloppy within our given time! LOL
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChCUvdaYBDs&feature=related

I thought this would be kind of cool to show you guys! Rotoscoping practice. Even though it's short, I really like it!!

Voice Acting Craze

Apparently, voice actors are stepping into the spotlight like they deserve. FINALLY. I love voice actors. They have my upmost respect and admiration! c:

I didn't know that:
  • The respect level for voice acting is increasing!
  • Voice acting makes older audiences curious.
  • America is starting to see how big of a deal voice-acting REALLY is.
I was proud to see this article! I think it's awesome that voice actors are FINALLY getting the credit and attention they deserve! I also think that voice actors really add to the media they voice for! I'm excited for these people who work so hard to do this kind of thing!!

My one question is why have voice actors been underrated for so long until now??

Disney and Lucasfilm in Cahoots??

Recently, Disney had purchased Lucasfilm, which is quite questionable if you ask me.
So what does this mean? Will there be a film with creepy monsters walking aroung an "enchanted, majestic ball" in high heels and frumpy gowns, or will there be something more profound than that? o:

I didn't know that:
  • George Lucas is now the wealthiest artist in the United States.
  • Lucas is a philantjhropist! Awesome~~~
  • Disney will now be creating Star Wars films later in the future with the studios Lucasfilm owns in terms of effects and such.
This article was interesting. I think it's kind of cool that Disney and Lucasfilm will be working together to produce more Star Wars films. I also think it it kind of weord that sich diverse companies would join forces like this.

My one question is will this enhance the Star Wars franchise's reputation, or will it lead to people forgetting what Star Wars has been about for the last 30-something years?

November 10th D:

This week was THE WEEK FROM HELL
Ok, first off, swimming started on Monday and I'm wicked exhausted. D:
Second, I missed the bus to BOCES yesterday because I was finishing up a test. And by finishing, I mean not really finishing. I rushed to get out of class and get to the bus. THANK GOODNESS my dad happened to be at the school when I called him. He gave me a ride and I made it on time. NOW I DON'T KNOW WHERE MY MATH BINDER IS. AWESOME.

So yeah, to recap, what frustrated me this week was everything I previously stated: Swimming, missing the bus, misplacing stuff, blah blah BLAH.

Hopefully next week will be much better than this week. :I

On the other hand what made me happy was the science news critique. I appreciate the feedback form my friends. c: I was happy with how my project turned out. What also made me happy this week was how much progress I'm making on my 2d short~~
Can't wait to see how it'll look when it's done!!

This week I learned about rotoscoping. Can't wait to draw stuff frame-by-frame. >:3

I really want to learn how to do 3d animation. Think it might be pretty cool~~
I hope you guys have a good long weekend!!!
Pip-pip-da-doodalee-do~~

The animation and graphics are just stunning O:

November 2nd Update

This week was NOT BAD. NOT BAD AT ALL. Stressful, YES. Bad, not entirely...
The hurricane did give me a scare for sure, not for western New York, but for my family who lives in New Jersey, Delaware and on Long Island. I'm so glad they're safe!!

I think what made me happy this week was starting my 2d Short. I EMBRACE THEE, FLASH MADNESS. <3 I also enjoyed the Logo Critique! c: I appreciate the feedback from my friends, and it'll surely help me in the future!!

What frustrated me this week was how much went on during BOCES this week. I felt bad that I didn't come on Tuesday, and playing catch-up the day after was kind of crazy xD

I really want to learn how to do 3d animation! I think that'll be fun c:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tMQOIOeAqIw

The fluidity of the animation is stunning! I also think the graphics add to the game as well!!

No Drive, No Jive--

Apple has recently released new Macs, but there's one TEENSY problem...
THERE'S NO OPTICAL DRIVE.

I didn't know that:
  • Only two current Macs ACTUALLY have built-in optical drives.
  • The iMac doesn't have an optical drive in order to keep its "svelte edges"....WAT
  • You would have to buy the drive separately for $79.
I was mixed about this article..
On one hand, I thought it was interesting to see just how much Apple is slipping..
I also thought it was disappointing that the optical drive was removed for aesthetic purposes...

My one question is will Apple keep these shenanigans up or will they turn the other cheek?

Fake Photo Frenzy

Apparently, there are fake photos of Hurricane Sandy all over Twitter, Facebook, and all over the internet, especially one with the hurricane itself coming at the Statue of Liberty.

I didn't know that:
  • People are actually making false photos of a hurricane that caused so much destruction.
  • People took these photos from other films and sources having absolutely nothing to do with Sandy.
  • The Statue of Liberty picture was taken in 2004!!!
I thought this article was interesting, yet frustrating. On one hand, I thought the photos looked incredibly real. Although, I also thought it was kind of stupid that people do this kind of thing for publicity and to start some nonsense.

My one question is are these photos created for attention? I'd LOVE to know....

What It Really Means to be a Director

So there is this article on how "important" the director of a film REALLY is.

I didn't know that:
  • Directors aren't that important after all! They're still important but, not as important than other staff members.
  • The director's job is to basically shape the vision of the film.
  • The directors are the biggest talkers. xD
I thought that the article was interesting! I think it's funny how the director isn't as important as other crew members. I also like how the actors are the ones who take the MOST blows.

My one question is why are the writers somewhat underrated?

Princess Controversy

So I read this article on how this new Princess Sofia is sparking up controversy for some reason?

I didn't really know that:
  • All this time, Disney is trying to be culturally and ethnically diverse with their princesses.
  • There was SO MUCH controversy to begin with in terms of these princesses.
  • The term "Latina" was VERY sensitive in this article.
I was kind of surprised at this article, considering how much outrage Sofia has sparked. I can also kind of see the point the Latino community is trying to make. Disney isn't trying to stereotype any ethnicity though.

My one question is will Disney make more controversial princesses despite this article?

Digital Media, October 28th~~

This week was a mix of frustration and happiness for me! Thursday was MY BIRTHDAY so that's what made me really happy this week! I was also really happy about the fact that I got a 100 on my science news article. c:

What frustrated me this week was working with the Science News Animation project. I'm nervous about how it'll turn out! Hey, I'm doing my best, and I WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO, BY GOODNESS.

We learned about using sound clips for Flash using media-sharing websites, and the programs Audacity, and GarageBand. I'M GONNA WASTE SO MUCH TIME ON GARAGEBAND YES.

I want to learn how to animate 3d things! That'd be so much fun~~
Don't get me wrong, I like Flash. YES, I LIKE FLASH.
I can't wait for 3d stuff though~~~
And honestly, Flash Madness makes me feel good~~~

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0iEc8pYeSMQ

I LOVE how fluid the animation in the game is. And I also love how it actually feels like the series Naruto!!!

NO INFO FO YOU.

Apparently, there is an article saying that, in California, employers asking for employee social log-in information is ILLEGAL. Gee, well I wonder why?

I did't even know:

  • EMPLOYERS DID THIS. WHAT THE--
  • There are now two privacy bills solving this conflict.
  • That California is the only state taking this kind of initiative.
I really am astonished at this article. And to think that employers snoop around on their employees' Facebooks, Twitters, you name it.
I also think that it is a good thing that California and other states are taking initiative to stop this.

My one question is: Why would you invade somebody's privacy like that? I mean, WHO DOES THAT?

Water Wigs. WAT

OK, so these photos of bald men on water wigs is probably the coolest thing I've ever seen!

Geez, I have to give SERIOUS props to the models who were continuously pelted with water balloons without punching somebody out. xD

I didn't know that:

  • THEY HAD TO DO SO MANY TAKES FOR THIS. GUH.
  • Timing was EVERYTHING for these photographs.
  • They had to use long, narrow balloons for a "mohawk" or "halo". You know, the kind of balloon clowns use. CLOWNS.
I really thought that this article was amazing. I respect the models for being so patient! I also loved the colors of the water. :D LOL
I also have to commend the crew on how much time they spent on this project!

My one question about this article is: HOW WERE THE MODELS SO PATIENT???

Digital Media, October 19th, Week Whatever

This week was actually pretty FREAKING GREAT. I finished my logo animation finally! Now it's on to the Science News Project!! I'm proud of how everybody's doing right now in this class!!

Although, APPARENTLY I HAVE FLASH MADNESS. ASGDFHSFGAFG

I'm kinda proud of that! I can't believe I'm going to say (or type) this, but I LIKE FLASH.
I learned how to save my projects in different formats. Coolio~~

I WANT TO LEARN HOW TO DO STOP MOTION...kinda.

I was really happy that I EMBRACED FLASH, and that IT FINALLY LOVES ME AND DECIDED TO COOPERATE WITH ME. :'D

What really frustrated me was the fact that I had to rescale EVERYTHING in my Logo project. HNNNNG

I consider THAT something I learned: NEVER LISTEN TO THE VOICES IN YOUR HEAD.
No, but really, I have to be more careful about how I save my projects and all of that. Have an awesome weekend everybody~~~
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNwspV1x_gk

THIS. MADE. MY. WEEK.
I love the humor in it, but I also LAHV the animation in it, of course. <3

Joss Whedon

So I read an article about Joss Whedon and his filmmaking.

I didn't know:
  • Who Joss Whedon is. LOL
  • He started Buffy the Vampire Slayer!!
  • He got his start as a writer for Roseanne.
I really think this article is cool. I like the advice he gives. I also like that he comes off as very pleasant!

My one question is WHY IS HE NOT APPRECIATED MORE???

Dawn of the Dead Pets

This article is about the film Frankenweenie, yet another movie created by Tim Burton.

I didn't know that:
  • This story relates to Tim Burton's love for his dog as well.
  • Tim Burton wanted to interpret Frankenweenie in a different way using stop-motion.
  • The original Frankenweenie was a short film.
I like this article. I really like that Tim Burton is taking a different approach with this story using stop-motion. I also like the fact that this film kind of reflects on his bond with his childhood dog.

My one question is: how does he get all of this inspiration to create these stellar films?!

Digital Media~~

This week was actually really good! o:

This week I learned more about how to use Flash properly. I think it's finally warming up to me~~~
I also learned about storyboarding, which is actually kind of enjoyable c:
I also learned that Flash is kind of a PITA, but hey, it's warming up to me like I said~~~

I was probably mostly frustrated with the typeface projects. The expressive types were fun, considering I drew them >:D
I was also a LITTLE frustrated with the Animation Principles project. I'm ALMOST done, ALMOST. Need to work out a few bugs.

I had fun doing the expressive types, and working with Flash believe it or not o-O
I REALLY want to learn how to make 3d character models, like in Dead or Alive!! :D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fcsbd2wsVOQ

I really dig the animation here, the story makes me cry though..

ParaNorman

This article talking about LAIKA studios making stop motion films really fascinated me! From Coraline, to ParaNorman, it seems like the possiblilities of stop motion movies are endless!

I didn't really know that:
  • Stop motion can take HUGE amounts of time to write, storyboard, animate, etc.
  • The music is considered "vital" to the movie ParaNorman.
  • LAIKA has crew members from other movies such as Secret Of Kells.
I really enjoyed this article!
  • I think it's amazing at how much TIME and ENERGY these crew members have to put in everyday they work on these films!
  • I also think that stop motion is kind of underrated. I feel like people should appreciate it more...
My one question would be how many frames would it be to create a motion picture film such as ParaNorman? xD

Star Trek: 25 Years~~

So I read this article on Star Trek: The Next Generation!

I didn't know that:

  • It's the 25th anniversary of Next Generation. I kind of want to watch this show now. o: Time to get educated~~
  • Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home was the fifth most successful movie in 1986!
  • The Next Generation made nerd culture mainstream for the first time! REPRESENT!!
I really enjoyed this article! I think it is interesting at how much TNG has influenced us in the last few decades!
I also think it's amazing at how so many shows really blossomed because of the Star Trek franchise!

My one question is will Star Trek ever be revived maybe in a new evolved way?

Friday, October 5, 2012

Digital Media Progress~~

Okay, so this week was REALLY difficult.
I learned how to animate on Flash and I'm really happy about that! :D
Prinicples of Animation=death of me ;____;
The Principles of Animation projects we're working on is really frustrating. UGH. I'm so confused but so excited in odd ways. o.o

I enjoyed working with Flash this week, but HO. LY. COW. I've never felt so confused. I'll get it though, that I promise. I'll do everything in my power to tame the Flash beast. xD

Anyway~~~

I'm beyond exhausted from the stress  this week. x.x

I really want to learn how to make smoother, and more efficient animations on Flash because personally, my animation skills are blah. LOL

But hey, it's the beginning of the year and it'll get better! :D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_LR1NtZOISg

I thought I'd share this because the animation and the freaking graphics are stunning! I really hope I can make something like this one day (in anime form)

Filmmaking Tips

Ok, so I read the filmmaking tips article! I was really intrigued by it!!

In terms of this article, I didn't even know:
  • Who Christopher Nolan was...awk
  • When writing a movie, it must be interesting, and not always simple!
  • That loving movies can make a HUGE difference in terms of filmmaking!
In my opinion, I would love to sit down with the writers of a film to see how and when they come up with such vibrant ideas. I also think that filmmaking can sometimes be underestimated and that it's just more than making a great movie, it comes from somewhere else as well.

My one question is how can someone have such patience with such a huge crew working with you and would there be a lot of clashing ideas on set? It'd probably be like a jacked up version of Jersey Shore xD

3D-Ness

Ok, so the article about 3d movies really captured my interest! Personally, I LOVE Finding Nemo!!!

I learned that 3d movies are UBER expensive to create!! Holy cow! $15 million dollars?! That's crazy!
I also learned that 3d is used to make up for a movie's shortcomings.
I also learned that STAR WARS is going to be 3d!

In my opinion, I'm extremely HAPPY that Pixar has a 3d adaptation of Finding Nemo!! I also am disappointed that 3d movies aren't that popular among some people. But hey, coffee tastes different for each person I guess. :P

My one question is how long do these 3d film adaptations take to make??

Weekly Update

This week was fun!
I FINALLY finished my Illustrator character! Soon enough I'm going to do another, and another, and another
;D

This week we learned how to use Adobe flash, and

OH.

MY.

GLOB.

SO. TEDIOUS.

I enjoy using it though. Soon enough we'll be animating!! :'D

What also frustrated me this week was how I did on my Club Fuse Ads ;___; I got a 78 and then an 80 on another, which isn't awful. I just wish I could've done better. Oh well! I did well on the other Ads though so no biggie~~~!

What made me happy was making our houses on Flash, AND finishing my character. 'Sall good man.
xD

Thought this was a pretty boss animation!!!

Tuesday, September 25, 2012

Tuesday.

Meh..

FINALLY FINISHED MY ILLUSTRATOR CHARACTER.

SO HAPPY!!

SHFSHAGDSF

:'''DDDDD

(AND SO IS TORI)

WELL.

Basically a work day! Already did my work!

Tori's singing right now.

.....

and so am I....

..

Welp.
Have a great day guys~~~!!

Robot with Feelings

This article talks about a robot known as Nexi, who can express feelings and/or gestures. The things I learned form this article are:

  • Touching your face and crossing your arms can make people see your bad intentions.
  • There are certain gestures that can show how you're feeling to others.
  • People can also be affected by the gestures you do.
I really think this is a cool article. I think this is a huge step forward for technology and also exploring the human brain.

I also think that it is intriguing that this team was able to make a ROBOT have feelings or certain expressions that humans perform. It's very exciting!!

I do have one question.

Could this experiment lead to a new, unknown era for technology?

3d Printers

Ok, so I read the Huffington Post article on 3d scanners and I must say, THIS is really cool!
In terms of what I didn't know before reading the article, I didn't know that:

  • There were such things as 3d printers! I had no idea that they existed. I was TOTALLY unaware.
  • They are so popular among customers and that by 2007, over 80,000 3d printers had been sold! That's unbelievable!
  • These 3d printers were capable of copying such robust things, such as keychains and game board pieces. That sure is handy!
In my opinion, this article is great. I find it so intriguing that there are printers that can copy 3d objects. If I had one of those printers, I'd never run out of sketchbooks! :)
I would definitely buy one, although they are somewhat expensive..

I also enjoy the fact that so many people make good use out of these printers! In my opinion, I think that having one of these printers would be worthwhile, especially around the holidays!

I do have one question though.

If you were to copy certain 3d items, would there be copyright issues involved? I'm just curious.

Digital Media :D

Wow, what a week! So much to do, so little time!

This week I learned about design principles and elements, using Adobe Illustrator, and we made flip books. We also learned how to use the scanner for Adobe Illustrator use!

:)

I really want to learn how to create 3d character models now! 2d was fun, but I want to see how 3d modeling is!
I also want to learn how to storyboard, which I'm excited about doing this year!!

The FLIP BOOK frustrated me. That was difficult!
I still can't believe how long it took me to do it..
Frame, after frame, after frame.
I was happy with how it turned out though!
Just the repetitive drawing was frustrating (haha)

What made me happy this week was doing characters on Illustrator. I'm truly happy with how my character looks! Everyone else's looks amazing as well! I feel so blessed to be around such a talented group of people! c:

SO.
CUTE. xD

I really like the animation in this video and I hope you guys do as well c:
I also am intrigued by the cohesiveness of the 3d video and the 2d animation. I just thought it was interesting! Plus, I like Sonic. :D
